May you read this in the best of health. I've been traveling around lately. Thus, been putting aside this part of my life for a while. In search of employment, and peers from the native land, I've been to Melbourne and Brisbane from November to December. By the will of The Creator, I've met heaps of good people along the way. But the most prominent one was Dad's friend whom he has not met for more than 20 years. Yes, Dad came along to help me out. Although I insisted at my independence, I won't stop him from his actions. And it turned out to be a good thing; at least we took care of each other instead of me putting up with my own 'antics'. So it was in Melbourne when Dad re-connected with a friend. Abraham and his supplication

Image
May you read this in the best of health. When Prophet Abraham  a.s. was shoved into a fire pit as punishment from his people for preaching the truth, this was his do`a (supplication): “Hasbunallah wa Ni’mal Wakil” "Allah alone is sufficient for us, He is the best disposer of our affairs" The law of physics does not apply to Allah. As such, the fire did not hurt Prophet Abraham a.s. In fact, he described the experience as one of his best during his lifetime in this world, and mind you, Prophet Abraham a.s. lived for a long time. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) used this supplication a number of times. In one of them, his life was under veil threat, and this was what he said in response to the situation.  PeAcE OuT

He breathes the following into them, 'The night is long so keep on sleeping.' If the person wakes and praises Allah, then one of the knots is unfastened. And if he performs ablution, the second knot is unfastened. When he prays, all of the knots are unfastened. After that he will be energetic and happy in the morning. Otherwise he would get up listless and grouchy."  It is also recorded in  Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim  that he said, "When one of you rises from your sleep he should make ablution. He should rinse ...
